Geogrids for Service-Area Businesses

A service-area business (SAB) usually has no physical office. Instead it works within a defined service zone marked on the map. By default, LocalOptics centers a geogrid on the computed average center of that service zone.

If that default center is not where you want to measure from, you can change it in one of two ways.

Option 1: set a default center (persists)

On the location's dashboard, click Set Geogrid default center. A side panel opens where you can enter an address or coordinates. Once you set it, every new live geogrid and scheduled config for this location uses that point as its default center. You only need to do this once.

Option 2: drag the grid (per geogrid)

When creating a new live geogrid or a geogrid config, select the SAB, then drag the grid's center point on the map to move the whole grid where you want it. This positions only that one geogrid, so you repeat it for each new live geogrid or config.

Everything else (grid size, point distance, search terms, scheduling) works the same as on a normal geogrid.
