Connecting Your Google Account & Adding Locations

LocalOptics manages your locations through the Google account that owns or manages them. Connecting that account is the first thing to do - every feature (geogrids, reports, reviews, posts) works off the locations you sync here.

Connect your Google account

  1. From your dashboard, open the Google Accounts page and click Add Account (Connect Google).

  2. You'll be redirected to Google's sign-in and consent screen. Sign in with the account that manages your Business Profiles and grant the requested permissions.

  3. After you approve, Google returns you to LocalOptics and imports the list of locations that account can access.

Choose which locations to enable

You don't have to activate every location. After connecting, pick the ones you want LocalOptics to sync and track. Enabling a location counts against your plan's location allowance.

For example, on a 10-location plan, enabling 1 location leaves you 9 of 10 remaining - the other 9 slots stay open for locations you enable later.

Newly enabled locations import their data (reviews, posts, insights) in the background, so it can take a little while for everything to appear.

Add more Google accounts

You can connect as many Google accounts as you need - there's no fixed limit. The number of locations you can enable across all of them is bounded only by your plan size.

Locations you don't see, and disabled locations

  • If a location is missing after connecting, confirm the Google account you used actually manages it, then re-sync.

  • Disabled (grayed-out) locations stay in your account but aren't synced or tracked, and don't count against your plan until you enable them.
