Audit Reports

An Audit Report answers a different question than a performance report: not "how did we do?" but "how do we stack up?". It scans one location against real competitors - discovered by running a geogrid for your chosen keyword - and scores both sides on everything that drives local rankings.

What an audit examines

Each audit is organized into tabbed sections, each comparing your location against the chosen competitors:

  • Geogrid - the map-grid scan used for competitor discovery, showing who ranks where in your area.

  • Categories - your primary and secondary GBP categories versus what winning competitors use.

  • Title & Description - listing copy quality.

  • Reviews - counts and ratings, all-time and the past 180 days.

  • Media posts - photo volume, all-time and recent.

  • Posts - Google post activity, including breakdown by type.

  • Questions/Answers - answered vs. unanswered Q&A on both sides.

  • Business attributes and Zip Codes - completeness of hours, payment, accessibility attributes and service-area coverage.

  • Page Speed Insights - your website's Core Web Vitals scores.

  • JSON-LD - structured-data completeness on your site.

The gaps become your work list: if the top three competitors all post weekly and you don't, the audit shows it in one glance.

Generation and statuses

Audits are produced by Audit Configurations, on a schedule or via Run Audit. Because an audit pulls data from many sources (Google, competitor listings, page-speed checks), it moves through statuses: Initialized, Collecting data (with progress like "Part 2 of 5"), then Finished - or Finished with warnings if a source timed out. The index lists every audit with its location, keyword, competitor badges and status; use the filters to find audits by configuration, location or keyword.

Like reports, every audit has a Share button for a public, white-labeled link you can hand to a client or prospect.
