Territories group the locations in a project into named, color-coded sets, so you can analyze any slice of your portfolio together: by region, brand, business line, or franchise, or an ad-hoc set like a test cohort. Territories are defined per project, and they can overlap, so the same location can belong to more than one.
Creating and assigning locations
Open MLAP, open the project, and go to Project settings > Territories. Then:
Click Add Territory.
Enter a Name and choose a Color (the color is reused everywhere the territory appears).
Under Locations, select the locations it should contain.
Click Create.
Each territory in the list shows its color, name, and location count. Use the Edit icon to rename it, change its color, or add and remove locations, and the Delete icon to remove it. Changing a territory's locations is how you reassign them at any time.
Where territories are used
A Territory filter on the Dashboard, Location view, Revenue Correlation, and the Job and Review Intelligence panels, to focus on one territory at a time.
Per-territory breakdowns inside Job Intelligence and Review Intelligence, so you can compare how each territory is performing.
A peer group option in the Location view's Performance vs. Peers table, so a location can be ranked against just the others in its territory.
