Getting Started with GeoBooster

GeoBooster is a content creation and syndication engine for local businesses. It pairs LocalOptics with a mobile app so anyone on the team can capture what is happening at a job or location and turn it into fresh content.

The idea is simple: as staff go about their day, they take before-and-after photos, note changes, and write short updates. GeoBooster streamlines that content and publishes it automatically to the location's Google Business Profile, website, and social channels.

Why it matters

Fresh, geo-relevant content published consistently is exactly what local SEO rewards. GeoBooster puts content creation in the hands of the people doing the work, so it stays authentic and steady.

How the pieces fit

  • The mobile or web app is where Moments (GeoBooster posts) are created.

  • Facebook and Instagram can be posted to directly from a Moment; a webhook feeds your own service, and Zapier or Pabbly extend syndication to other networks.

Getting GeoBooster running takes three steps: enable it on a location, add the users who will post, then create Moments.

1. Enable GeoBooster on a location

Open the GeoBooster section, choose Add Business, select the location you want, and enable GeoBooster for it.

2. Add the people who will post

On the Team page, add a mobile user for each person who will create content. Enter their details and send the invite, and they set their own password from the email. Or turn on Skip invitation to set their password yourself, so they can sign in right away without an email invite.

Pre-moderation: when turned on for a user, their Moments must be approved in the LocalOptics dashboard before anything publishes to the website, integrations, or Google Business Profile. Leave it on for staff whose posts you want to review first.

3. Create Moments

Moments can be created from the web app or the mobile app. See Creating GeoBooster Moments.
